  • FINALLY: white shoe day. I feel like a burden has been lifted from my soul. Expect white pants, white skirt, all white everything this week (within reason). Yes, I am one of those that ascribes to the “antiquated” notion of seasonal dressing.

  • In the showroom tonight. Light blue and burgundy FTW. Inspired by Prada SS 2012.

  • To the grocery store before work. I will never give up on making “soccer-mom streetwear” a trend. Who’s with me?

While I’m not actually a soccer-mom, this is probably the most apt description of my casual wear. It’s not like I’m fighting the stereotype. After all, I did spend much of the day preoccupied with my slow cooker pulled pork recipe. Someone just needs to give me kids already. Also, these aggressively tapered pants really should be ironed #probablywontdoitthough. Major props to anyone that can identify my limited release SBs.

  • Sunday on a Monday=loose and casual: Black flats, rolled up tan/white striped pants, black belt, black t-shirt, white quilted zip-up hoodie (GAP circa mid ’00s. I think 80% of the girls at my school bought this wickedly comfy piece when it came out. I used to have a brown one too but I can’t find it). My color palette inspiration came from the living room…

  • These are my favorite pants right now: Wool, fully lined, cuffed. Length is perfect since they’re supposed to be cropped on people of average height but on me they go to just below my ankle. I snagged them on sale for about $30 from Lands’ End Canvas (which has become one of my top five e-retailers). They’re still available at this price if you want to grab a pair for yourself.

  • Wearing a lot of my favorite recent purchases, especially this blazer (flannel, double breasted, peak lapels). It’s gotten too big for me now that I’ve worn it the past few weeks but thankfully ladies can get away with incorrect fit more than men. You can purchase a similar pair of suede smoking loafers here (mine are Steve Madden too but were less $ and have a rubber sole, which I prefer for work).

  • A WIWT from last week. Same blazer as today, different everything else except the color palette is very similar. I’ve realized I need to spice things up.
